Mary Peepins
Practically perfect.
Mary Peepins arrived one day, fully formed. She was already calm. She was already organized. She already seemed to know where things were, including things that had not yet been put anywhere.
She is not the highest-ranking hen, and she is not the lowest, and the question of where exactly she falls in the pecking order has, on close examination, never quite been resolved. The other hens seem to have agreed to leave it that way.
Things go smoothly around Mary Peepins. The reasons are not always clear.
She shares part of her name with Peeper Peep Poppins, the founding queen of Hennsylvania. Whether this is succession, coincidence, or something quieter than either, the line continues.

How to spot her on stream
The black-and-white speckled hen — the Barred Rock pattern is unmistakable, and she's the only hen in the flock with it. Beyond the coloring, she tends to be wherever the coop is most peaceful at any given moment, which is sometimes a useful signal in its own right. If a corner of the run looks unusually settled, check it. Mary Peepins is probably in it.

A peer to Chicky One, in the way that two hens who have transcended the contest can be peers without ever discussing it. Genuinely fond of Fluttershy, who finds her presence calming. Beyoncé has not figured her out yet, and may never.
A spoonful of feed helps the hierarchy go down.
